November 7 Legislative Yuan passes bill regarding business tax exemption of physicians.
 
1957
February 1 First publication of the Taipei Medical Association's report with president Dr. Hung Lee-feng as publisher.
 
1959
August 25 Launch of the Movement for Relief Donations during the floods of 1959; on August 19, Dr. Chen Chang-keng and Tsai Hsiang-ling were appointed to join the second Taipei inoculation team and provide treatment in the hardest hit area of Changhua.
 
1961
November 5 Move of the Association's headquarters to 3&4F, No.79, Chunghwa Road, Taipei.
 
1967
February 13 On February 7, the Association's director Yang Hsueh-chiao represented the Association on a visit to Japan, where on
February 13 the Taipei Medical Association and the Kawasaki Medical Association officially became sister organizations. July 1 Dr. Lin Chung-shih appointed as first president after Taipei was placed under the central government's direct jurisdiction.
1968
January Finalization of the Association's legal establishment after Taipei was placed under the central government's direct jurisdiction; assigned with civil organization registration number : No. 1.
 
1974
February 21 Incorporation of the Yangmingshan Medical Association into the Taipei Association.
 
1975
May 24 Announcement of the amendment of the physician's law; implementation from September of that same year, after which all certified physicians in Taipei must become members of the Taipei Medical Association.
 
1977
January 22 Move of the Association to newly purchased headquarters at 6 & 7F, No. 74, Hsin Yi Road, Section 2, Taipei.
 
1980
January 1 Establishment of member welfare and pension funds; a basic pension is paid for each year of membership to members older than 65 with a membership record of more than 10 years.
 
1981
March 26 The Taipei Medical Association and the Osaka Medical Association in Japan become sister organizations.
 
1986
April 20 Celebration in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Taipei Medical Association; representatives of the Association's sister organizations from Osaka and Kawasaki visit to extend their congratulations.
 
1990
October 24 President Wu Kun-kuang heads delegation on a tour in Mainland China.
 
1995
February 19 The Association organizes the 'National Health Insurance Content Negotiation Seminar and Medical Oath Administration Ceremony' in conjunction with the Taiwan Primary Care Association, held at the plenary hall on the 9th floor of the Mackay Memorial Hospital; participants include a total of over 600 members of the Taipei Medical Association and physicians from other cities and counties. March 1 Implementation of the National Health Insurance system.
 
1997
February 25 The Association launches a national petition:(1)the public has the right of free choice:(2)physicians should have the right to fill prescriptions, to be delivered to the Legislative Yuan; a total of 3000 participate in the petition. March 1 Implementation of separation of physicians' dispensing and medical practices.
 
1999
July 1 Establishment of Member mutual fund; an amount of NTD200,000 is offered to family of deceased members with a membership record of more than 10 years.


 
2000
April 2 The Taipei Medical Association and the Fujizawa Medical Association become friendship organizations.
 
2001
July 1 Implementation of the National Health Insurance Primary Global Budget system.
 
2002
April 28 Directors and supervisors of the 13th term are elected at the first general assembly of the 13th term. July 1 Implementation of the Hospital Global Budget System. October 15 A new organization seal is issued to the Association by the Bureau of Social Affairs; the 13th board of directors and board of supervisors are established.
 
2003
March 8 The Taipei Medical Association and the Seoul Medical Association become sister organizations.
